Dr. Pickens is known for her pleasant bedside manner and high patient satisfaction. She is an integral part of the area’s medical community and has worked at several local hospitals, including Potomac (Sentera Northern Virginia Medical Center), Capitol Hill (BridgePoint Hospital), and Kaiser Permanente Health Care. She brings 15 years of aesthetic experience to The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia, offering natural and attractive results for all of her patients.
Dr. Pickens is the supervising physician at The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia, but she has also served as the CEO and medical director at various medical institutions. She brings 30 years of professional experience to her practice, with a diversity of training from trauma and emergency medicine to wound care and facial aesthetics.
Dr. Pickens first received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and then received her M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine. She fulfilled her internship and residency in general surgery at Howard University and then spent some time at Boston City Hospital Trauma Center for her postgraduate training.
Dr. Pickens remains an indispensable member of the medical community. She has worked at various area hospitals, including Potomac (Sentera Northern Virginia Medical Center), Capitol Hill (BridgePoint Hospital), and Kaiser Permanente Health Care. She has also published an award-winning paper with the Massachusetts Medical Society.
